Soccer Recap: Palacios Gets the Win

After losing to Hallettsville the last time they met, Palacios decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Palacios Sharks narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Hallettsville Brahmas 2-1.

Christian Gonzales and Esteban Muniz scored both of Palacios' goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Palacios' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-1-2. As for Hallettsville, they now have a losing record at 0-1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palacios will challenge Hempstead at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Hallettsville, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Columbus at 5:30 p.m. on January 21st.
