Recap: Upsala Cardinals vs. Braham Bombers
The Upsala Cardinals came tearing into Monday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 75-71 win over Braham. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Leading Upsala to victory were Noah Boeckermann and Jack Primus. Boeckermann dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Primus dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. Primus has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Joseph Guthrie, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Upsala pushed their record up to 17-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Braham, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8.
Upsala is on the road again on Thursday and plays Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] at 7:15 p.m. on February 15th. As for Braham, they will be playing at home against Browerville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
