Fairfield benefitted from O'reilly in 7-1 victory
Zack O'reilly was dynamite on Monday, not allowing a single earned run over 6.1 innings pitched. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fifth in a row with more than five innings. On the year, O'reilly has an ERA of 1.10 over 38.3 innings pitched.
O'reilly's strong effort led Fairfield over Armijo and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fairfield has some work to do to even out the 1-8 series between these two since April of 2021, but a win here would be a good start.
