Recap: Lytle Pirates vs. Pleasanton Eagles
The Lytle Pirates won the last time they faced the Pleasanton Eagles, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Lytle walked away with a 54-46 victory over Pleasanton. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lytle.
Calyssa Sevier continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Lytle's points. Katara Whitfield was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals.
Lytle's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Pleasanton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Lytle will play host again and welcome Devine, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Devine and Lytle are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Pleasanton, they will head out on the road to face off against Marion at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Marion focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Wednesday.
