Basketball Game Preview: Clinton Cougars vs. Delavan-Darien Comets

The Clinton Cougars will head out to challenge the Delavan-Darien Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Clinton will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Marshall, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Cougars walked away with a 50-42 victory over the Cardinals on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Delavan-Darien had to suffer through a 68-22 loss at the hands of Edgerton. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Crimson Tide are ranked 39th).

Delavan-Darien's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Clinton, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Clinton suffered a grim 67-44 defeat to Delavan-Darien in their previous meeting back in January of 2025. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
