Dimond faced Colony in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Lynx narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Knights 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lynx have posted since August 30th.

Anayah Sila paced Dimond's offense, picking up eight kills. Sila got some help from Puao Asailevai and her 18 assists. Asailevai was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Dimond has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-7-1 record this season. As for Colony, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-8.

Coincidentally, Dimond and Colony will both be playing South Anchorage the next time they take the court. The Lynx will head out to face the Wolverines at 6:10 p.m. on Saturday, while the Knights will host them at 6:00 p.m. on October 8.
