Villa Madonna comes up short despite Henry Thole's strong performance

If the Villa Madonna Vikings were riding high off their 66-26 takedown of the St. Patrick Saints last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Villa Madonna was the victim of a rough 58-38 defeat at the hands of Calvary Christian on Tuesday. Villa Madonna was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Calvary Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played two weeks ago.
Despite the loss, Villa Madonna still got an impressive performance from Henry Thole, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. Tommy Wenning was another key contributor, scoring four points along with four steals.
Villa Madonna's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Calvary Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-17.
Villa Madonna will be playing in front of their home fans against Leslie County at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Calvary Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Immaculate Conception Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
