Softball Game Preview: Judson Rockets vs. Canyon Cougars

Judson hasn't had much luck against Canyon recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Judson Rockets will look to defend their home field against the Canyon Cougars at 7:00 p.m.

Judson is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 17th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They fell 5-2 to San Marcos.

Canyon got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past East Central 9-8. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by just one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Canyon and bumps their season record up to 11-3. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Judson, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.

Judson was able to grind out a solid win over Canyon in their previous meeting back in April of 2019, winning 3-0. Will Judson repeat their success, or does Canyon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
