Softball Recap: Merrill Takes a Loss

Merrill managed to slip by Medford the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bluejays lost 11-1 to the Raiders on Monday. The Bluejays just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Merrill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Medford, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-3 record.

Coming up, Merrill will venture away from home to square off against Stevens Point at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bluejays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Medford, they will face off against Pacelli at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
