Soccer Game Preview: Bethel vs. Kennedy

The Bethel Jaguars will head out on the road to face off against the Kennedy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Bethel is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Swett an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. Vicente Melgarejo was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Bethel's lineup was just a bit different on Tuesday as Dylan Flores got a bit more time on the pitch (70 vs. his season average of 43.3). Flores made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Meanwhile, Kennedy made easy work of St. Patrick-St. Vincent on Tuesday and carried off a 6-0 victory. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 2.8 goals per game.

The victory made it two in a row for Kennedy and bumps their season record up to 2-1-2. As for Bethel, the win got them back to even at 2-2-1.
