Softball Recap: Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Comes Up Short

After flying high against Reedsville on Monday, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah came back down to earth. The Resorters fell just short of the Random Lake Rams by a score of 14-13 on Tuesday. The Resorters have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Dyani Lisowe stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she got on base in five of her seven plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Lydia Weber also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Random Lake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah will host Reedsville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Random Lake, they will welcome Cedar Grove-Belgium at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
