Football Recap: Arcadia/Loup City Piles Up the Points Against Sandhills Valley

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ravenna, Arcadia/Loup City was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Sandhills Valley Mavericks 50-22. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-0.

Arcadia/Loup City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tyce Calleroz and Ryan Kaslon. Kaslon got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Although Sandhills Valley took the loss, they still got scores from Carsyn Gragg, Sheek Bruns, and Cotter Johnston.

Arcadia/Loup City's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Sandhills Valley, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Arcadia/Loup City will challenge rival South Loup at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sandhills Valley is set to face off against their familiar foe Pleasanton at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
