Soccer Game Preview: First Coast vs. Westside

The First Coast Buccaneers will head out on the road to face off against the Westside Wolverines at 7:20 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

First Coast fell victim to Episcopal School of Jacksonville and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 8-0. First Coast have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Westside lost 4-1 to Global Outreach Charter Academy on Tuesday. The loss was Westside's first of the season.

First Coast now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Westside, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1-1.

Everything went First Coast's way against Westside in their previous meeting back in January, as First Coast made off with a 6-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buccaneers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
