Baseball Game Preview: San Angelo HomeSchool Saints vs. Ira Bulldogs

The San Angelo HomeSchool Saints will take on the Ira Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Ira will be up against a hot San Angelo HomeSchool squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. San Angelo HomeSchool put the hurt on Westbrook with a sharp 8-1 victory on Friday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ira). They were the clear victors by a 31-4 margin over Jayton on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Bulldogs with their most commanding win of the season.

Ira's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average this season. As for San Angelo HomeSchool, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.

San Angelo HomeSchool might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Ira when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can San Angelo HomeSchool avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
