Turpin took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Loveland, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Spartans skirted past the Tigers 7-5. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Tigers on Monday, they had to take a 9-0 loss.

Turpin has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Loveland, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Turpin will challenge rival Lebanon at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Loveland is set to face off against their familiar foe Winton Woods at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
