Football Game Preview: Winslow Township Eagles vs. Ramapo Raiders

Two dominant signal callers in Jalen Parker and Casey Grusser are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Winslow Township Eagles will take on the Ramapo Raiders at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Winslow Township comes in on ten and Ramapo on nine.

Winslow Township is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Brick Memorial 14-12.

One reason for the win was Winslow Township's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for nine sacks. Benjamin Carter Jr and Robert Carstarphen were the leaders of the group effort as each produced three apiece. Camaj Matthews also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with ten. Ausar Heard was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble and making 11 total tackles.

Meanwhile, Ramapo faced Phillipsburg in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Raiders blew past the Stateliners 41-20. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Winslow Township better keep an eye on Liam Hayward. He was instrumental in Ramapo's win, rushing for 127 yards and one touchdown. Those 127 rushing yards gave Hayward a new career-high. Mike Viksjo also deserves some recognition as he hauled in his first receiving touchdown of the season.

Winslow Township's record is now 11-2. As for Ramapo, their record now sits at 11-1.
