Softball Recap: Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Comes Up Short

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 31-6 to the Bloomsburg Panthers. The Rams were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in April of 2018.

Clara Guyer and Rehna Wallace did some serious damage despite the final result: Guyer scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Wallace scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Wallace is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Arianna Sheatler, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bloomsburg, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia Montour Vo-Tech will face off against Shenandoah Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bloomsburg, they will venture away from home to square off against Warrior Run at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be Bloomsburg's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
