Softball Recap: Northview Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Northview won the last time they faced Tate and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Chiefs came out on top against the Aggies by a score of 9-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chiefs.

Mikayla McAnally made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. McAnally was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Kylee Langham was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Daviona Randolph was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs.

Northview pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Tate, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Northview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tate, they will welcome Escambia at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Aggies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gators have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season.
