Soccer Game Preview: Irvin vs. Fabens

The Irvin Rockets will head out on the road to challenge the Fabens Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Irvin and 13 for Fabens.

Friday just wasn't the day for Irvin's offense. They fell 2-0 to Riverside on Friday.

Meanwhile, Fabens also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Mountain View by a score of 4-2. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly two goals.

Irvin's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Fabens, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17.

Irvin beat Fabens by a goal in their previous meeting back in January, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Irvin since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
