Flomaton has gone a perfect 4-0 against Monroe County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hurricanes will challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Flomaton will be strutting in after a win while Monroe County will be coming in after a defeat.

Flomaton gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't give up any more after. They strolled past Jay with points to spare, taking the game 21-7. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Zykenzie Martin and Antwan Bowen. Martin rushed for 109 yards and one score while Bowen rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown. Lance Presley got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Monroe County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 20-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of New Brockton. While the Tigers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Gamecocks 6-0.

Monroe County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Flomaton, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Everything came up roses for Flomaton against Monroe County when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 33-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hurricanes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
