Volleyball Recap: Hays Comes Up Short

Hays's tournament run continued when they took on Davenport on Saturday. The Hawks fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 2-1. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Malia Gibbs paced Hays' offense, picking up six kills. Gibbs got some help from Zoe Siciliano and her 15 assists.

Hays' defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Davenport, their win bumped their record up to 16-1.

Hays and Davenport will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Hawks see the court they'll take on Dripping Springs at 6:30 p.m. on September 2. As for Davenport, their break will end when they face New Braunfels at 6:00 p.m. on September 2.
