Basketball Game Preview: Minneapolis Lions vs. Lyons Lions

We've got a battle between Lions coming up. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Friday, Minneapolis was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-40 to Beloit.

Meanwhile, Lyons was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost to Southeast of Saline on the road by a 41-27 margin. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 295th, while the Trojans are ranked 80th).

Minneapolis' loss dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for Lyons, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-17.

Everything came up roses for Minneapolis against Lyons when the teams last played on Monday, as the team secured a 52-19 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Minneapolis since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
