Basketball Recap: Terrance Walker and Jajuan Johnson Secure Win for Raines

There's no place like home for Raines, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 64-54 victory over the Impact Christian Academy Lions on Wednesday. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Leading Raines to victory were Jajuan Johnson and Terrance Walker. Johnson dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 boards, while Walker went 7 for 13 on his way to 18 points. Those 22 points gave Johnson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Timothy Cole, who posted nine points.

Impact Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ronald Clark, who put up 12 points. Jeremiah Jones was another key player, putting up ten points.

Raines pushed their record up to 9-13 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Impact Christian Academy, they moved to 18-5 with that defeat, which also ended their 11-game winning streak.

Raines didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-57 victory against Westside on the 31st. Impact Christian Academy has also already played their next matchup, a 71-54 loss against University Christian on the 31st.
