Volleyball Recap: Lucas Alwine and Carter Smith Secure Win for Huntington North

Huntington North won the last time they faced DeKalb and things went their way on Monday too. The Vikings blew past the Barons 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Huntington North was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-11, 25-17.

Leading Huntington North to victory were Carter Smith and Lucas Alwine. Smith had seven digs and three aces, while Alwine had five aces. Those five aces gave Alwine a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Huntington North was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They are a perfect 3-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

The win got Huntington North back to even at 4-4. As for DeKalb, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-12.
