Softball Recap: Galena Park Takes a Loss

Galena Park might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Waltrip who claimed the real prize. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Rams by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in February.

Galena Park's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7. As for Waltrip, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 14-0.

Looking ahead, Galena Park will be playing in front of their home fans against Sharpstown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Apollos have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.29 runs per game on average), something the Yellowjackets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Waltrip, they will head out on the road to challenge Westbury at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams are facing the Huskies at the right time seeing as the Huskies are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
