Leyden won the last time they faced Elgin and things went their way on Saturday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Maroons by a score of 2-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Eagles' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21.

Leyden's offense was headlined by Sarah Skorna and Julia Radziszewski, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Kasia Wadolkowski and her 14 assists. Juliana Guiglio controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Leyden is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-21 record this season. As for Elgin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-23 record this season.

Leyden has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Regina Dominican on the 18th. Elgin has also already played their next contest (against Fenton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
