The Thunder Ridge Titans will take on the Eagle Mustangs at 11:15 a.m. on Friday. Thunder Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.3 runs per game this season.

Thunder Ridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Lake City, sneaking past 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Titans have posted since April 14th.

Carly Jones (2026) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 13 Ks.

At the plate, Zoey Sorg (2028) was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one double. That's the most triples she has posted over her last 13 matchups. Sadie Fullmer (2027) was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Eagle faced Capital in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 15 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Eagle is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Thunder Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 15-13-1.

Thunder Ridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Eagle in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 17-15. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
