Baseball Recap: Seymour Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Seymour was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They came up short against the Carrollton Hawks, falling 11-1. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 10-6.

Seymour's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-6. As for Carrollton, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seymour will head out to challenge Pittsfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Saukees' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Carrollton, they will head out on the road to face off against North Greene at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.33 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
