Recap: Buckingham Charter Knights vs. Faith Christian Lions
The Buckingham Charter Knights suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Thursday. They were the victim of a tough 49-29 defeat at the hands of Faith Christian. Buckingham Charter has not had much luck with Faith Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Faith Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cedric Smith led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alec Oakley, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and three steals.
Buckingham Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Faith Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 3-10 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buckingham Charter's road trip will continue as they head out to face Western Sierra Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Western Sierra Collegiate Academy will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Faith Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Cristo Rey at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cristo Rey is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
