Top 25 Texas high school football playoff scores: No. 1 Duncanville beats No. 3 Southlake Carroll to advance to semifinals

No. 1 Duncanville hands No. 3 Southlake Carroll its first loss of the season with a 49-35 win.

Three 6A Division 1 Texas quarterfinal matchups are featured in this week's Top 20 games.

The National Game of the Week is going down between No. 1 Duncanville and No. 3 Southlake Carroll. They check in as the No. 3 and No. 13 teams respectively in the national rankings.

The Panthers rolled to a 49-35 win to advance to the state semifinals for the second consecutive year. 2020 Texas commit Ja'Quinden Jackson accounted for five touchdowns and up next for Duncanville is Jaxon Smith-Njigba and No. 5 Rockwall with a spot in the 6A Division 1 championship on the line.

The other semifinal features No. 2 North Shore (Houston) vs. No. 8 Lake Travis (Austin). The defending national champs beat No. 23 Atascocita (Humble) 76-49 and the Cavaliers knocked off No. 18 Judson (Converse). These two played in the semifinals last season and North Shore cruised to a 51-10 victory.



No. 8 Westlake (Austin) rolled to a dominant 42-14 win over No. 22 Brandeis (San Antonio) to advance to the 6A Division 2 semifinals. No. 15 Aledo needed overtime to beat Ennis but held on for a 43-36 win and 2020 Oklahoma commit Marvin Mims made history in No. 12 Lone Star's (Frisco) 38-20 win over Lancaster.

He hauled in 10 receptions for 214 yards and two touchdowns to set the new single-season record for most receiving yards. He broke San Marino's (Calif.) record of 2,464 yards and has 2,483 on the year.
