Basketball Game Preview: North Shore Mustangs vs. King Panthers

The North Shore Mustangs will challenge the King Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

North Shore is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since February 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 73-43 loss at the hands of Atascocita. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Eagles are ranked 19th).

Meanwhile, King entered their tilt with Kingwood on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They managed a 43-38 win over the Mustangs.

King's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for North Shore, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-16 record this season.
