Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Simon). They claimed a resounding 50-18 win over the Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind Sentinels. The Longhorns pushed the score to 46-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Sentinels cut but never quite recovered from.

San Simon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hollie Keil, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 12 points and six steals. Keil has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Alyzon Corrales was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven steals and six assists.

San Simon was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Several Sentinels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Melany Marquez, who posted six points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Emily Marquez, who scored five points and four steals.

The win was the fourth in a row for San Simon, bringing their record for this year to 11-11. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 22.8 points. As for Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

San Simon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 30-18 victory against Valley Union on the 16th. As for Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 39-6 win against Lourdes Catholic on the 16th.
