Mohave Accelerated entered their tilt with Highland Prep West on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the HORNETS.

Cash Keller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Mohave Accelerated is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-6 otherwise.

At the plate, Mohave Accelerated got a massive performance out of Matt Brennan, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. What's more, Brennan posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Martin Abundiz was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.

Brennan wasn't the only one making solid contact: Mohave Accelerated kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for the Patriots: they were averaging 2.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.4.

Mohave Accelerated pushed their record up to 4-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Highland Prep West, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mohave Accelerated beat the HORNETS by a score of 15-5 later that day.
