Softball Recap: Gill St. Bernard's Takes a Loss

Gill St. Bernard blew Somerville out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Somerville got their revenge. The Knights fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 3-1. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Gill St. Bernard's has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9-1 record this season. As for Somerville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gill St. Bernard's will take on Kent Place at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Somerville, they will welcome Hopewell Valley Central at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
