Basketball Recap: Cedar Ridge Comes Up Short

Cedar Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the Izard County Cougars. If the Timberwolves were looking for revenge after losing 67-51 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cedar Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Izard County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedar Ridge will take on Melbourne in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Melbourne knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Cedar Ridge likes a good challenge. As for Izard County, they will be home for the holidays to greet Mammoth Spring at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
