Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Neosho

Neosho entered their tilt with Huntsville on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They secured a 55-51 W over the Huntsville Eagles. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Wildcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 229th in Missouri, while the Eagles are ranked 73rd in Arkansas).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Neosho to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaiden Asberry, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Asberry a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kanten Smith, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.

Neosho's record is now 4-5.

Neosho didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-58 loss against Middle College on the 27th. Huntsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
