Baseball Recap: Organ Mountain Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

While Organ Mountain put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Gadsden. The Knights came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 4-0. The win was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on three straight.

Brennan McNiece tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ryo Rivera, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Devyn Garces, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Organ Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 9-4-1. As for Gadsden, they dropped their record down to 5-8-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Organ Mountain will challenge Alamogordo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Gadsden, they will square off against Las Cruces at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldawgs will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
