Marlington's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They snuck past the Canton South Wildcats with a 47-42 win. This was payback for the Dukes, who suffered a 57-56 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Marlington is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points over those games. As for Canton South, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marlington will venture away from home to face off against Garfield Community Learning Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canton South, they will square off against Carrollton at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Carrollton will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Canton South surely won't give up without a fight.
