Basketball Recap: New Garden Friends Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

New Garden Friends won the last time they faced Bradford Academy, and Curtis Russell did his part to make sure it happened again. The New Garden Friends Bears claimed a resounding 70-16 win over the Bradford Academy Archers thanks in part to Russell, who posted 16 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played.

Tedder Rice was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

New Garden Friends is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 42 points. As for Bradford Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

New Garden Friends wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-53 victory against Cape Fear Christian Academy on the 24th. As for Bradford Academy, they will take on Crossroads Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crossroads Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.3 points per game this season.
