Basketball Recap: Lebanon Tigers vs. Tri-West Hendricks Bruins
After flying high against Frankfort last Monday, Lebanon came back down to earth. The Lebanon Tigers took a hard 75-57 fall against the Tri-West Hendricks Bruins on Friday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Bruins recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Lebanon lost, don't look at Kaden Lark. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. Lark is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jack Ferrell, who posted 12 points and six boards.
Tri-West Hendricks was led to victory by Wes Ward and Jaxon Paris. Ward made all 6 shots he took to post 17 points along with six rebounds and three blocks, while Paris went 6 for 10 on his way to 17 points. That's the most points Ward has posted since back in December of 2023. Daniel Thomas was another key player, going 5 of 8 en route to 14 points.
Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Tri-West Hendricks, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lebanon will square off against North Montgomery at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lebanon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully North Montgomery likes a good challenge. Tri-West Hendricks has already played their next game (against Pendleton Heights), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
