Football Game Preview: Bellport Clippers vs. Huntington Blue Devils

The Bellport Clippers are taking a road trip to square off against the Huntington Blue Devils at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bellport's defense has only allowed 12.2 points per game this season, so Huntington's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Bellport will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 13 points last Saturday, then bounced right back against Copiague on Friday. The Clippers blew past the Eagles, posting a 38-7 victory. The Clippers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 31 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Huntington might've scored the first points on Saturday, but it was Northport who claimed the real prize. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 16-14. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Bellport's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Huntington, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-2.

Bellport might still be hurting after the 21-0 defeat they got from Huntington in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Clippers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
