Baseball Recap: Har-Ber Makes It 12 in a Row at Home

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Har-Ber ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the Bishop Kelley Comets 12-11. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

NASH JEFFUS was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. JAXON PICKARD was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Har-Ber was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Kelley only posted a batting average of .290.

Har-Ber pushed their record up to 2-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Kelley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
