Softball Recap: Pulaski County Comes Up Short

Pulaski County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Green County Dragons. The Maroons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Dragons from their previous meeting back in May of 2018.

Pulaski County's loss dropped their record down to 10-17-2. As for Green County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season.

Pulaski County will face off against Caldwell County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Maroons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Green County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethlehem at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Eagles/Banshees have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
