While Darien put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Trumbull. The Blue Wave had just enough and edged out the Eagles 1-0. That's two games straight that the Blue Wave have won by just one run.

The result came thanks to Vivian Knott's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

The win made it two in a row for Darien and bumps their season record up to 17-4. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Trumbull, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-7 record.

As of now, neither Darien nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
