Baseball Recap: Cardinal Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Cardinal and Centerville meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Comets fell just short of the Big Reds/Redettes by a score of 9-8. The Comets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Big Reds/Redettes earlier this season, when they won 10-4.

Cardinal's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Centerville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-17.

Coming up, Cardinal will be playing at home against Moravia at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Centerville, they are taking a road trip to take on Twin Cedars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
