Baseball Recap: Pike Takes a Loss

Pike's tournament run continued when they took on Irvington Preparatory Academy on Saturday. The Red Devils fell just short of Irvington Preparatory Academy by a score of 6-5.

Lincoln Sigmund made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Joe Williams, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base.

Pike has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Irvington Preparatory Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Pike will face off against Park Tudor at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Irvington Preparatory Academy, they will square off against Indianapolis Lutheran at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
