Soccer Game Preview: Sharon vs. Hickory

Sharon hasn't had much luck against Hickory recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

On Tuesday, Sharon needed a bit of extra time to put away Greenville. They had just enough and edged out the Trojans 2-1.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hickory, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Grove City on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Hickory were the better team in the second half.

Hickory's record now sits at 9-3. As for Sharon, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Sharon couldn't quite get it done against Hickory in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
