Recap: Tom Bean Tomcats vs. Saltillo Lions
The Tom Bean Tomcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Saltillo with a sharp 68-48 win on Thursday. For Tom Bean, this counts as revenge for the 52-41 loss Saltillo walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Branson Ashlock continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. He hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Pearson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Tom Bean has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Saltillo, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.
Tom Bean will be playing in front of their home fans against Sam Rayburn on Tuesday. As for Saltillo, they will head out on the road to face off against Bloomburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
