Recap: Swenson Arts & Tech Lion vs. Parkway Northwest Hoyas

The Swenson Arts & Tech Lion waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. Everything went their way against Parkway Northwest as Swenson Arts & Tech made off with a 53-33 win. Swenson Arts & Tech has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 20 points or more this season.

Parkway Northwest's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kahleem Jordan, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Dyer, who scored eight points.

Swenson Arts & Tech's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Parkway Northwest, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Swenson Arts & Tech will head out on the road to face off against Science Leadership Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parkway Northwest, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy at 3:15 p.m. KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 690th, while Parkway Northwest is ranked 297th).
