Basketball Recap: Dowagiac Takes a Loss

Dowagiac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Haven Rams. While losing is never fun, the Chieftains can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 456th, while the Rams are ranked 151st).

Dowagiac's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for South Haven, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dowagiac will take on Benton Harbor at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. South Haven has already played their next match (against Watervliet), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
